Bessie M. Willis Funeral Saturday

 
 

 
Mrs. Bessie M. Willis, 61, died Thursday morning shortly after admission to Grandview Osteopathic Hospital.
Born Nov. 20, 1912, at Wann, she attended schools at Maramec. She was married to Lester Willis in 1928 at Pawnee. They farmed near Maramec for two years before moving to Ness City, Kan., where they resided for eight years.
In 1941 they moved southeast of Ponca City where Willis was employed with the Bar-L Ranch. They later resided in Marland for two years before being employed at the Big-V Ranch. The Willises moved to Ponca City in 1951. Mrs. Willis was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.
Survivors include her husband, of the home, 229 Mercer; three sons, Frederick L. Willis, Arkansas City, Raymond Willis of Elkhart, Ind., and George E. Willis of Blackwell; two daughters, Mrs. Robert McCleary (Lillie) Randolph of Blackwell and Mrs. Roy (Wuanita) Maybry of Beggs; one brother, Earl Warden of Cleveland; two sisters, Mrs. Ethel Lytle of Pawnee and Mrs. Mildred Ellis of Maramec; nine grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by one son. Funeral services will be 3 p.m. Saturday at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints on East Hartford with Bishop M. Lytle Slade officiating. Interment will be in Resthaven Memorial Park cemetery under direction of E. M. Trout and Sons Funeral Directors.
